What is GRA?

GRA (International Gemological Research Association) is a gemstone testing and certification service. It grades moissanite and other gemstones, and issues a report for each stone it examines.

An annotated GRA certificate

What your certificate shows

Every Vocco piece comes with a GRA certificate. Each certificate is a report for one stone, with its own report number and QR code. It lists the stone's shape and cut, measurements, carat weight, colour and clarity grades, and its cut, polish and symmetry.

Carat weight is shown as diamond equivalent, so a 1.0ct stone is the same size as a 1.0ct diamond, though it weighs a little less.

How to check your certificate

  1. Scan the QR code on your GRA certificate with your phone camera. It opens the report for your stone.
  2. Check that the details on the report match your certificate.

If anything doesn't match, email contact@voccojewellery.com with your order number.

What a GRA certificate does and doesn't mean

GRA's reports state that they are not a guarantee or a valuation. Your certificate records the grades GRA gave your stone, but it isn't the main reason to trust us. Clear specs on every listing, free 30-day returns and a 1-year warranty are.
